BIG INK partnered with another Minnesota company to produce the first ever advertising wraps for portable toilets at the Taste of Minnesota. The client cornered an entirely new advertising venue by patenting the process of wrapping portable toilets. The current target is large events with rows of toilets. “Now, when people wait in line to use the loo, they’ll have something to look at and from a cost per eyeball standpoint it’s an economical way for companies to advertise,” says the President and Founder. The Taste of Minnesota was the first event featuring wrapped toilets. “Since this was the first venture, many advertisers didn’t confirm until days before the event,” said the president. “We chose BIG INK because of their quality, but it was their turn-around that was really amazing.” Fast turn-around is not new for BIG INK, “Often clients need things really fast. With this job, we produced over 300 panels in 48 hours then rushed them over for on-site installation,” says BIG INK President, Tom Trutna. “This is a fresh, new twist on advertising. Theoretically anything can be wrapped to relay a marketing message.”
Other upcoming Minnesota events that will feature the wrap graphics include the Senior PGA Tour and the Minnesota State Fair, Says Trutna. “The sales and marketing expertise of our client, along with our ability to quickly produce high quality, large format graphics, creates great synergy for both companies. It brings new meaning to canned advertising!”
