2008 Best Of Award
For the third year in a row, BIG INK was featured in the Best Graphics of the Year showcase in Digital Graphics magazine. The December 2008 issue highlighted the vast job produced for CivicFest held at the Minneapolis Convention Center in conjunction with the 2008 Republican National Convention. BIG INK produced nearly 18,000 square feet of graphics for the event. |

BIG INK Using the First New G3 Zund Cutting System in MN
BIG INK recently added the most technologically advanced digital cutting system available to our ever increasing line of equipment. In fact our Zund G3 cutter was the first delivered in MN and among the first deliveries in the country. The Swiss made machine gives us incredibly accurate and fast cutting options for everthing from cut vinyl and floor graphics to gator, foamcore and other rigid materials up to 2" thick. The variety of cutting tools allows us to select exactly the proper cutting method for the right material. It also increases our volume throughput, for example with our roll-to-roll option, we can cut down an entire 150' roll
of banner material in less than 6 minutes with amazing accuracy. The accuracy comes from the optical eye, which checks the cut path every few images to compensate for material stretch, skewing or shifting of the printed images. As always, BIG INK seeks to continually add best-in-class equipment and believes it was worth the wait for the technology to advance to this level before bringing in this machine.
